This is a detailed step-by-step guide to setting up the Signital app on your BrightSign device using BrightAuthor:Connected software.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare Your BrightSign Device

- Insert the microSD card into your computer's card reader.
- Format the microSD card to FAT32 if not already formatted.
Step 2: Configure Using BrightAuthor:Connected

Launch BrightAuthor:Connected:
- Open the BrightAuthor:Connected software on your computer.

Log In to BrightAuthor:Connected:
- In the top-right corner, click on Sign In.
- Enter your BrightSign Account credentials (email and password).
- Note: Logging in is necessary to access certain features, including the Enable Application URL option.
- Click Sign In.

Access the Setup Wizard:
- Click on the Admin tab in the top menu.
- Select Setup.

Set your player to auto-update:
- In the Player Settings window on the right, expand the section that includes your BrightSign model and select 'Latest released OS: ...'.

Configure Network Settings:
- Network Connection:
- Choose between Ethernet (Wired) or Wi-Fi (Wireless) based on your setup.
- For Ethernet Connection (Recommended):
- Select Obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) for automatic IP assignment, or configure static IP settings if needed.
- For Wi-Fi Connection:
- Select Wi-Fi and click Configure Wi-Fi.
- Enter your Wi-Fi SSID and Password.
- Choose Obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) or set a static IP.

- Save the setup to the microSD card.
- When this process is complete, safely eject the microSD card from your computer.
Step 3: Launch and Configure

Insert the microSD Card into BrightSign Device:
- Insert the microSD card into the SD slot on your BrightSign device.

Power On the Device:
- Connect the power supply to the BrightSign device.
- The device will boot up and automatically load the Signital app from the Application URL.

Connect to the Internet (If Not Configured in Step 2):
- If you didn't configure network settings in BrightAuthor:Connected:
- Use a USB keyboard or mouse to select your network and enter the password.

Display the 6-Digit Code:
- After connecting to the internet, a 6-digit code will appear on the screen.

Connect the Device to Your Signital Account:

If you have already created a display:
- Go to your Displays page (opens in a new tab) and select your display.
- Click the Connect button.

If you have not created a display:
- Go to the Displays page (opens in a new tab).
- Click Create New Display, fill in the required details, and then click Connect.

In the Connect Dialog:
- Select the BrightSign option.
- Enter the 6-digit code displayed on your device.
- Click Connect.

Complete Setup:
- Your BrightSign device is now connected to your Signital display.
- The content assigned to the display will start showing on your screen.
Troubleshooting

Cannot see the 'Admin' tab:
- Ensure you are using BrightAuthor:Connected software.
- Check that you are logged in with your BrightSign Account.

Cannot See 'Enable Application URL' Option:
- Ensure you are logged in to BrightAuthor:Connected with your BrightSign Account.
- If not logged in, click Sign In in the top-right corner and enter your credentials.

Device Not Booting Properly:
- Ensure the microSD card is correctly inserted.
- Reformat the microSD card and repeat the setup steps.

6-Digit Code Not Displayed:
- Check the internet connection.
- Restart the BrightSign device by unplugging and plugging it back in.
